Governor Lawal Unveils Strategic Plan for Security, Economy, Development in Zamfara

The Zamfara State government has reported significant progress in its fight against banditry and terrorism, as security forces continue to dismantle criminal networks threatening the state’s stability.

Governor Dr. Dauda Lawal made this declaration in a special broadcast to the people of Zamfara, acknowledging the longstanding security challenges that have plagued the state. He recognized the severe impact of banditry on communities, noting the widespread suffering and fear among residents.

Reaffirming his administration’s dedication to restoring security, Dr. Lawal assured citizens of ongoing efforts to make Zamfara a safe place for all. He stressed that his government is implementing strategic measures to curb criminal activities and foster peace.

Beyond security, the governor emphasized the urgent need for economic growth and infrastructural development. He highlighted his administration’s commitment to enhancing key sectors, including healthcare and road infrastructure, as part of a broader strategy to improve residents’ livelihoods.

A major milestone in the state’s developmental agenda is the ongoing construction of an international airport, a project poised to stimulate economic activities, attract investment, and create employment opportunities.

“We are also rolling out essential reforms in education and healthcare to enhance the quality of life for our people,” Dr. Lawal stated.

He called on the people of Zamfara to unite in the face of challenges, urging collective efforts and cooperation to overcome the state’s difficulties.

“Let us set aside our differences, work together as one, and support the government’s agenda for rescuing and rebuilding our dear state,” he implored.

The governor also extended his appreciation to philanthropists for their generosity towards the less privileged during Ramadan and encouraged them to sustain their charitable acts beyond the holy month.
