The Concerned Northern Youth Stakeholders have appealed to the Federal Government to nominate a Minister of State for Youth Development from Northern Nigeria.
This was disclosed in a press release signed by the group’s Coordinator, Usman Doshiro, in Abuja.
He said that such an appointment would facilitate the seamless execution of insurance policies focused at youth throughout all geopolitical zones, thereby fulfilling the administration’s guarantees forward of 2027.
“Nigeria’s youth are various, and guaranteeing equitable management throughout areas will foster nationwide unity and inclusiveness in youth insurance policies.
“Given the enormous responsibility of the Ministry, appointing a Minister of State from the North will complement the efforts of Hon. Olawande and help in reaching more youth, especially in rural areas,” Doshiro stated.
He additional said that the youth constituency stays the strongest pillar of assist, including that the appointment would encourage and mobilise younger Nigerians in direction of nationwide growth, unity, and progress.
Doshiro reiterated the President’s dedication to youth empowerment and nationwide transformation, stating that younger individuals eagerly anticipate this strategic determination.
This, he added would reinforce the Renewed Hope Agenda and maintain Nigeria’s youth actively engaged in nation-building.
“We are significantly grateful for the energetic and result-driven strategy of the Minister of Youth Development, Mr Ayodele Olawande.
“Under his management, we’ve seen a renewed deal with youth inclusivity, abilities growth, entrepreneurship, and management alternatives.
“However, to further strengthen the Ministry of Youth Development and ensure greater regional balance, deeper grassroots engagement, and expanded impact, we humbly appeal for the appointment of a Minister of State for Youth Development from Northern Nigeria,” he stated. (NAN)
