He revealed that, manufacturing has elevated from 310,000 tonnes final season to 410,000 tonnes in ongoing auctions, with projections to succeed in 500,000 tonnes by the tip of the present season.
The long-term objective, he stated, is to attain a million tonnes of manufacturing by 2030, aligning Tanzania with Ivory Coast, the world’s main cashew producer.
Furthermore, Mr Alfred outlined that rising manufacturing has additionally boosted cashew costs, which have elevated from 3,188/- per kilogram to 4,195/- in 2024, additional strengthening the crop’s competitiveness in world markets.
ACA Executive Director Mr Ernest Mintah emphasised that the discussion board will present a platform for discussions on funding methods, analysis, and innovation within the cashew sector.
