Information reaching the OsunReporters News confirmed that three people who violated the curfew order of the State government in the troubled areas of Ilobu, Ifon and Erin-Osun have been arrested.
Osun State Police Command confirmed this in a Press Release by its Public Relations Officer, SP Adeola Akeem Adeola on Monday in Osogbo, where he explained that they had so far arrested three suspects with a Dane Gun.
According to him, “Persistent animosities between Ifon and Ilobu towns reappeared in the early hours of March 21, 2025 and subsequently spread to Erin-Osun.
“This led to Murder, Arson and willful destruction of Lives and Properties.
“The Osun State Command led by CP Mohammed Umar Abba, psc has ordered the deployment of Officers and Men to the warring areas in order to restore peace, law and order in accordance with its primary duty of protecting Lives and Properties.
The Command in collaboration with personnel of other Sister Security Agencies will do everything humanly possible to prevent further bloodshed and breakdown of law and order through strict enforcement of the 24 hours curfew declared by the Executive Governor of the State, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke in the areas affected.
“So far, three (3) suspects have been arrested in breach of the curfew armed with a Dane gun. Thorough investigation will be conducted and suspects would be charged to court for prosecution accordingly.
“The Command is equally monitoring the situation closely with a view to fishing out all the trouble makers and their sponsors to ensure that they face the wrath of the law.“
At the time of filing this report, security operatives have taken charge of the three communities to restore normalcy.
