Amidst controversy and opposition from some quarters, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has exercised his civic responsibility by casting his vote within the native authorities elections presently underway within the state.

Persecondnews studies that Adeleke forged his vote at 7:56 am at Unit 9, Sagba Abogunde Ward 2, positioned within the Ede North Local Government Area.

The governor arrived on the polling unit, accompanied by his supporters and a few People’s Democratic Party (PDP) members.

Speaking to newsmen after casting his vote, Adeleke counseled the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission(OSSIEC) for conducting a peaceable election, describing it as a job nicely completed.

The governor expressed confidence that each one PDP candidates would emerge victorious within the elections.

He mentioned: “I want to urge everyone to come out and cast their votes. The election will be peaceful.”

Prior to the election, the Inspector General of Police and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) have suggested in opposition to the election, with the police citing safety considerations and the AGF saying that it will quantity to a violation of the Appeal Court order which reinstated the sacked APC council chairmen.
