Freeport Bushrod Island – The National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA), with funding from the World Bank via the Liberia Sustainable Management of Fisheries Project (LSMFP), has commenced development of a 1.2 km asphalt entry highway resulting in the Mesurado Industrial Fishing Pier.
This initiative is a part of the preparatory actions for establishing the Mesurado Industrial Fishing Port. According to a press launch from NaFAA and LSMFP, the highway development, which falls beneath Component 2 of the World Bank-funded venture, goals to make sure uninterrupted entry to important fisheries infrastructure whereas reinforcing Liberia’s dedication to sustainable financial development.
The venture, estimated to price over 1 million United States Dollars, will improve connectivity to the Mesurado Pier Facility, which is able to host Liberia’s first industrial fishing port on the Coast Guard Base close to the Bong Mines Bridge Freeport, Bushrod Island.
