…..FDH Bank partnership for soccer awards

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi Football Association (FAM) has secured partnerships with Castel Malawi and FDH Bank for the inaugural FAM Football Awards, set to happen on February 21, 2025, at Sunbird Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre.
Commenting on the partnership, Castel Malawi’s Head of Corporate Marketing and Communications, Lavern Chitakata, highlighted the corporate’s dedication to supporting soccer improvement.
“Castel Malawi sees these awards as an funding in Malawian soccer to assist in expertise improvement, professionalism, and competitiveness. The motive we launched the Castel Challenge Cup nationwide is for that precise motive – to advertise Malawian soccer from the grassroots stage.
“We are a brand associated with fun in communities, so we would like to recognize excellence among players to contribute to raising the standard of the sport while strengthening its deep connection with the community,” she stated.
In his half FDH Financial Holdings Senior Marketing Manager, Ronald Chimchere, emphasised their dedication to making sure the success of the awards.
“As FDH Bank Cup sponsor, our objective is to see the inaugural sports activities awards succeed, and we’ll work with FAM to make sure the athletes are celebrated in the best means.
“The awards will be bigger and better with combined effort; this will provide a massive platform to celebrate the deserving athletes from the 2024 FDH Bank Cup season,” he stated.
FAM Marketing and Broadcasting Manager, Tulipo Mwenelupembe, expressed gratitude to FDH Bank and Castel Malawi for his or her partnership.
“We deeply appreciate their commitment and partnership in making this event a reality. As FAM, we are dedicated to delivering value and executing a memorable experience for our partners, football stakeholders, and, most importantly, our fans. We look forward to more partnerships for this event,” he acknowledged.
The awards will acknowledge excellent performances throughout varied soccer classes, together with males’s and girls’s soccer, coaches, and referees.
The occasion can even honour distinctive performances from the 2024 FDH Bank Cup and the 2024 Castel Challenge Cup.
Regional league outfit, Blue Eagles FC gained the 2024 FDH Bank Cup after defeating FCB Nyasa Big Bullets FC by means of put up match penalties at Bingu National Stadium.
The Castel Challenge Cup was gained by Mighty Wanderers FC whereas FCB Nyasa Big Bullets defended Airtel Top 8 and Silver Strikers FC have been the TNM Super league Champions.
