An argument has erupted throughout the Concerned Citizens People Power Movement after its chief, Edward Kambanje, delegated his spouse, Beatrice, to attend a disinformation monitoring system familiarization tour in Ghana.
The tour, organized by the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA), goals to showcase the system’s performance, which Malawi is contemplating procuring.
Movement members are outraged, demanding Kambanje’s instant resignation.
Osman Dagiya, the motion’s operations supervisor, condemned Kambanje’s resolution, stating that Beatrice will not be a member of the motion and was assigned with out consulting fellow members.
“This is a betrayal. He did not consult us, and we were not aware that his wife was going to represent us,” Dagiya stated.
Kambanje defends his resolution, insisting that Beatrice is a trusted member of the motion, voted for by the chief.
