Kiambu Golf Club will host the fourth leg of the 2025 NCBA Golf Series tomorrow with a historic incentive on offer — an industrial-grade JCB 3DX Backhoe Loader for any golfer who sinks a hole-in-one at the par-3 eighth hole.

The tourney, which is expected to attract some 200 golfers, marks the latest qualifier in the prestigious amateur series, where participants will be vying for slots in the Grand Finale later this year.

This is the first time in the tournament’s history that a construction machine is up for grabs, thanks to a partnership between NCBA Bank and JCB Ganatra Plant and Equipment Ltd.

Speaking ahead of the event NCBA’s Group Director for Asset Finance and Business Solutions Lennox Mugambi highlighted the significance of the new challenge stating, “Golf is a sport built on precision, discipline, and composure—values we at NCBA deeply resonate with. Partnering with JCB Ganatra to offer such a high-stakes prize makes this series even more exciting for both seasoned golfers and newcomers.”

His sentiments were echoed by Managing Director at JCB Ganatra Plant and Equipment Ltd Altaf Ganatra who described the prize as a perfect reflection of strength and resilience; qualities essential in both construction and golf.

“These machines are built to take on any challenge, just like a great golfer must rise to every occasion on the course. We’re excited to see how this partnership will elevate the competition,” said Ganatra.

Known for their power and efficiency, JCB 3DX Backhoe Loaders are widely used in construction and agriculture, making the prize one of the most unique ever seen in Kenyan golf.
