Sabo highlighted the progressive initiatives underway to remodel waste into wealth, notably by way of up biking and waste-to-wealth applications.

The event was organised by Jigawa state Ministry of Environment in collaboration with the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF).

Sabo recommended the unwavering assist of UNICEF, whose technical experience and dedication to sustainable growth has been instrumental in making the undertaking a hit.

“With UNICEF’s backing, JISEPA has trained 600 women across Jigawa state in up cycling and waste-to-wealth initiatives, focusing on straps as a material often discarded as waste.

“The project aims to empower women to lead in environmental sustainability, creating new streams of income for women waste pickers, artisans, and small-scale entrepreneurs while contributing to environmental sustainability,” he said.
