Imam Baba Leigh hails Gambian Police for tackling crimes

Imam Baba Leigh has rejected claims that the Gambia Police Force is failing in its duties, stating that the pressure has been doing a wonderful job in addressing crime and associated points within the nation.

Speaking to Coffee Times, the outspoken cleric insisted that crime has drastically lowered within the nation over the previous few months below the dynamic management of Inspector General Seedy Muctarr Touray.

“I want to believe that our police are now among the most efficient forces in the world. Not long ago, our police force was awarded a prestigious accolade in Dubai, thanks to the leadership of Seedy Muctarr Touray,” he stated.

According to him, one of many indicators validating this declare is that the Gambian Police Force not too long ago obtained a policing award in Dubai for its glorious companies.

He added: “Despite the challenges facing the country, crime has decreased, and drug abuse has also significantly reduced. Therefore, the country should support the police in addressing these issues.”
