THE //Kharas Regional Council and Hyphen Hydrogen Energy have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster sustainable growth and create job alternatives within the area.
“This partnership marks a major step towards economic growth, job creation, and renewable energy innovation. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for the //Kharas region,” the Ministry of Information’s //Kharas Regional Office defined.
The signing ceremony was attended by Regional Governor Aletha Frederick, Regional Chairperson Joseph Isaacks, Hyphen’s Head of Environment and Social Governance, and different officers, together with the Mayor of Lüderitz Town Council.
This settlement comes lower than a month after Hyphen signed an analogous MoU with the Hardap Regional Council to help native expertise growth and capability constructing. Hyphen emphasised that these efforts are a part of its broader technique to deal with expertise gaps in Namibia’s Green Hydrogen sector, help workforce growth, and drive sustainable progress and employment, significantly within the south.
“By leveraging collective expertise and resources, impactful solutions can be created that directly address local challenges and support the development of a skilled workforce. This will, in turn, drive sustainable growth and employment,” Hyphen mentioned.
