Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State says his administration has taken vital steps to make sure the security of all colleges throughout the state.

 

Yusuf stated this on the opening of a Stakeholders Forum on the safety of colleges in Kano State and the Training of the Schools Protection Squad,held on the Government House, Kano, on Monday

 

Represented by the state’s Commissioner for Education, Alhaji Ali Makoda, the governor reassured the stakeholders of the State Government’s dedication to the event of the schooling sector.

 

As the nation continues to face challenges in guaranteeing colleges security, he stated, the discussion board marked an important step in the direction of strengthening safety resilience and selling a safer studying atmosphere.

 

In his remarks, the  State Commissioner of Police,  Mr Abayomi Shogunle, National Coordinator of Schools Protection Squad, emphasised the significance of colleges safety, stating that it’s paramount to the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

 

He stated that the faculties safety safety Squad was initiated by the Inspector-General of Police with a view to addressing safety challenges in main,secondary and tertiary establishments.

He stated the occasion, Strengthening Security Resilience and Integration of Host Communities, aligned with the nationwide plan on financing protected colleges within the nation.

 

According to him,the plan has a nationwide funding response geared toward defending colleges, learners, lecturers and non-teaching employees from assaults.
