Foni Jarrol lawmaker condemns govt for permitting ministers to marketing campaign in Kiang by-election

Kebba Tumanding Sanneh, the National Assembly member for Foni Jarrol, has condemned the Barrow authorities for permitting state ministers to journey and campaigned for the ruling social gathering within the simply concluded Massembeh by-election, which was gained by the United Democratic Party.

Speaking on Eye Africa TV, the lawmaker criticised state ministers who left their workplaces to ferry to Kiang final week. He described their motion as “abuse of office and waste of resources”.

“Looking at the challenges faced by the country, it was not necessary for all these state ministers to have travelled to Kiang to campaign,” he stated.

According to him, President Adama Barrow shouldn’t have allowed his social gathering to contest the by-election.

“If I were Barrow’s adviser, I would have advised him not to put a candidate against UDP to contest in the Massembeh by-election. He should just let go of this position,” he added.
