Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-Okay) get together chief Eugene Wamalwa has justified why the opposition won’t cease speaking about President William Ruto throughout their conferences.
Taking to his official X account on Saturday, March 1, 2025, Wamalwa argued that one can not speak about oppression with out speaking in regards to the oppressor and his oppressive insurance policies.
Wamalwa, in his assertion, stated that the opposition won’t cease speaking about President Ruto’s harsh taxes, failed insurance policies, and endemic corruption, tribalism, nepotism, and cronyism as he needs.
“Freedom is not given by the oppressor; it is demanded by the oppressed, as Martin Luther King Jr. once said. You cannot talk about oppression without talking about the oppressor and his oppressive policies, just like you cannot preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ without preaching about the Devil. So we will not stop talking about Zakayo and his harsh taxes, failed policies, endemic corruption, tribalism, nepotism, and cronyism as he wishes,” Wamalwa’s assertion learn partially.
The former Defence Cabinet Secretary went forward to record the problems the opposition has been talking towards the Kenya Kwanza regime.
Wamalwa on key points
Wamalwa listed abductions, the failed Adani Group offers with Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and KETRACO, Social Health Authority (SHA), and Housing Levy as a few of the points wherein they may actively point out President Ruto when addressing.
“You cannot talk about abductions without talking about the Abductor-in-Chief. You cannot talk about corruption without talking about the most corrupt president in the world after Assad of Syria and his cronies Adani of India, Aydin of Turkey, and their JKIA, KETRACO, SHA, and Housing Levy scams,” Wamalwa stated.
“You cannot talk about the mess in the health and education sectors without talking about Ruto’s failed policies. You cannot talk about the Zakayo’s punitive taxes and the pain every Kenyan is enduring with the shrinking payslip without talking about Zakayo himself. You cannot talk about state capture of Parliament, the judiciary, the opposition, and threats to our multiparty democracy and devolution without talking about the captor!”
Ruto tells off critics
Wamalwa’s assertion comes a day after President Ruto advised the opposition leaders to cease making him the agenda of their conferences.
Speaking through the launch of an off-grid photo voltaic entry challenge in Ndau Island, Lamu County, the president defined that his opposers are centered on ethnic politics as a substitute of conversations that unite the nation.
“Msijali matapeli ambao hawana mpango. Nimewaskiza kwa makini, wanaongea kwenye mtandao, radio, magazeti, mpango yao ni kuondoa Ruto. Hawana sera, hawana maoni, hawana chochote,” Ruto stated.
Ruto additional poked holes into Martha Karua’s launch of the People’s Liberation Party (PLP), arguing that the attendees on the occasion had no agenda aside from speaking about him.
However, Wamalwa argues that the opposition, which he says is the federal government in ready, is aware of what their various insurance policies are and what coverage adjustments they intend to make to enhance the lives of Kenyans after they handle to kick out Ruto in 2027.
“As the Government in Waiting We, of course, know what our alternative policies are and what policy changes we intend to make to improve the lives of Kenyans after we kick out this failed regime, including reversing and scrapping by executive order number one the oppressive housing levy and SHA, which are cash cows for Zakayo and his cronies. Watch this space!” Wamalwa said.
