# EFCC Alerts Nigerians on 58 Ponzi Scheme Operators
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a public alert concerning the actions of 58 firms allegedly working unlawful Ponzi schemes underneath the guise of funding alternatives.
The alert was contained in a press release launched by EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale in Abuja. According to the fee, these firms should not registered with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) or the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), rendering their operations unlawful.
