The Football Federation of Kenya (FKF) has made plans to nominate former South African footballer Benni McCarthy as the brand new head coach of the Harambee Stars.
The former Manchester United assistant coach has been in talks with FKF for the previous few months, and it appears the deal is now agreed upon and able to be finalised.
However, McCarthy’s official announcement has been delayed as a result of FKF’s inside processes and authorized points from former coach Engin Firat, who’s demanding unpaid wages.
Kenya will co-host the 2024 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) with Tanzania and Uganda, and the event is predicted to be McCarthy’s first huge job with the Harambee Stars.
