It was a joyous moment for parents, students, teachers and well-wishers at the graduation and presentation of certificate to graduands of Hafla Ibtida’i and Idaadi at Daqwat Madrasah Osogbo.
The event which was held at Islamic College open field, Ring road Osogbo on Saturday 5th April, 2025 marked the completion of another milestone in Arabic learning, the Idaadi stage for some students including Aliyah Abisoye Alamu, Adeleke Maryam Ayoni, and Fareedah Ayomide Salau while ten others graduated from Ibtida’i stage.
OsunReporters Correspondent, Omobolanle Jamiu reports that, each graduand showcased their proficiency in reciting the Qur’an with accurate pronunciation and soothing tone, earning them their well-deserved certificates.
However, Aliyah Abisoye Alamu was outstanding among her colleagues at every stage of the event including the pronunciation of Arabic words during recitation, coordinating her female graduand colleagues as almost all her female classmates and friends were around her at every stage of the programme.
While speaking, Aliyah joyfully thanked Allah, her parents, madrasah management and friends for the support.
In their separate remarks, Aliyah’s parents Mr and Mrs AbdulGafar Akindele Alamu gave glory to almighty Allah for the successful completion of Idaadi class of their daughter, extending gratitude to the management of Daqwat Madrasah, family and well-wishers their support.
Mr and Mrs Alamu described Aliyah as a proud daughter and pray for Allah’s guidance and protection over her future endeavours.
According to Mr Alamu; ” Alhamdullilahi, I thank God for making today a reality. Aliyah is a proud daughter. As you can see, she was surrounded by friends from different households throughout this event.
“Daqwat Madrasah is a good and standard leaning environment. their aim is to make sure their students stand out wherever they are with sound knowledge in Arabic and morals. One of the evident of what they are teaching them is what is happening here today, which has been confirmed its truly standard. I enjoined parents to assist their children in taking the right decision because no knowledge is a waste both Arabic and western are useful.”
Mother of the celebrant, Mrs Alamu also speaks; “I’m overwhelmed with joy today, and I pray that this happiness endures forever. May Aliyah continue to bring us delight and be a source of pride. I’m grateful to my husband for his love and support, and I pray that God blesses him with long life, prosperity to reap the fruit of our labour. I also appreciate the love and well-wishes from my family, in-laws, friends, and all who have joined us in celebrating this special moment.
Mallam Abdul Fatai Sa’ad, the guest lecturer, praised and encouraged the graduands to continue building on their achievement. Other parents also expressed their gratitude to the Madrasah, family members, friends, and well-wishers who attended the celebration, making it a joyous and memorable occasion.
The graduation was part of the Madrasha’s 3-in-1 program, which combined the Hafla Ibtidaiya, Idaadi certificate distribution, and a fundraising drive for the permanent site of Daqwat Madrasah.
