Morocco to host World Cup Qualifiers towards Niger and Tanzania in Oujda

The Moroccan nationwide soccer crew will play its upcoming World Cup qualifiers towards Niger and Tanzania on March 17 and 24, 2026, on the Stade Chérifien in Oujda, sources from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) confirmed to Hesport.

The FRMF opted for Oujda’s stadium to host the fifth and sixth rounds of qualifiers, with Morocco dealing with Niger because the away crew within the first match.

This choice marks a departure from earlier statements by FRMF President Fouzi Lekjaa, who had beforehand introduced that Morocco’s matches in March could be held on the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

Notably, Morocco performed a number of of its African Cup of Nations qualifiers, together with rounds three, 4, and 6, on the Stade Chérifien in Oujda.

As it stands, Morocco leads its World Cup qualifying group with 9 factors from three wins. Niger and Tanzania observe with six factors every, whereas Zambia sits fourth with three factors, and Congo is final with no factors. Eritrea withdrew from the qualifiers earlier and isn’t taking part.
