Monrovia — In the shadow of the imposing Liberia National Police (LNP) Headquarters, a gaggle of journalists are standing on the gates, cameras in hand, eagerly awaiting the chance to cowl a high-profile investigation.

Inside, opposition lawmakers Abu Kamara and Dixon Seboe of the Coalition of Democratic Change (CDC) are being questioned in reference to final 12 months’s devastating arson assault on the Capitol Building.
Officers stationed on the entrance firmly denied journalists entry, providing no clear rationalization for the restriction.
The causes behind the choice remained as elusive because the investigation itself, leaving many to marvel: What is being saved behind the partitions of the LNP Headquarters?
This newest improvement provides yet one more layer of intrigue to a case that has already captivated the nation.
Kamara and Seboe are amongst a gaggle of seven lawmakers, all related to the minority bloc, who’ve been recognized by the police as individuals of curiosity within the arson case.
But it’s not simply the 2 lawmakers’ participation within the questioning that has drawn consideration.
The names of a number of outstanding figures have surfaced, including additional complexity to the investigation. Among them is embattled Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. J. Fonati Koffa. Alongside him are Representatives Saah Foko, Priscilla A. Cooper, Mervin Cole, and Jacob C. Debee — all vocal critics throughout the minority bloc.
The lawmakers have been difficult the legitimacy of Richard Koon’s election as Speaker, a place they argue ought to belong to Koffa.
As the investigation into the arson case unfolds, the silence surrounding the questioning of those lawmakers has left the general public in a state of suspense.
For now, the journalists are left to attend, hoping for a glimpse of the solutions that lie hidden on this complicated and ever-evolving story.
