Jigawa: Foundation trains 18,874 on SPAC challenge, targets 100,000 girls farmers 

The Baba Azumi Foundation (BAF), primarily based in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital, supported by ActionAid International, has educated 18,874 Smallholder Women and younger Farmers (SHWF) on agroecological practices.

During the city corridor assembly, the ladies beneficiaries present cased numerous agricultural merchandise, with testimonies acknowledging the achievements that they had made in agriculture.

The coaching, which was accomplished in collaboration with the Strategic Partnership for Agro-ecology and Climate Justice (SPAC-WEST AFRICA), geared toward enhancing meals and diet safety whereas enhancing agro ecological abilities.

The founding father of BAF, Aisha Sulaiman Jahun, introduced plans to coach 100,000 girls farmers throughout the state, searching for N500 million from donor businesses to assist the initiative.

Barrister Jahun mentioned the coaching has already benefited girls from over 40 communities in 9 chosen native authorities areas of the state. 

She mentioned the city corridor assembly organised by BAF introduced collectively policymakers, agricultural specialists and stakeholders to debate land entry and possession amongst smallholder girls farmers and younger farmers.
